What are TYRE DRIVE trainers?
A Tyre Drive unit generates resistance when the tyre of your bicycle comes in contact with the roller of the trainer. They give a close to real road feel, however can only be used with completely slick tyres.
What are RIM DRIVE trainers?
The Rim Drive system was developed, is patented and sold exclusively by Minoura.
In having the resistance generated at the rim of the bicycle wheel, the rim drive system allows the use of any kind of tyre (knobby or slick), and you don't have to worry about tyre wear when you′re training. Rim drive trainers also generate less noise than a tyre drive trainer.
What are VARIABLE FLUID trainers?
The Variable Fluid System combines fluid and magnetic tyre-drive systems to provide and exponential power curve that closest simulates the headwind you feel during an actual ride. The VFS-G trainer is the smoothest and quiestest trainer in the range.
And ROLLERS?
Rollers allow a cyclist to practice their smooth, fast spinning capabilities. They provide a convenient jump on, jump off option so they're ideal for pre, post and in between events. The other benefits of rollers apply to all cyclists, as the extra balance and smooth technique required to ride them, forces you to become a smoother and more efficient cyclist.
