Passeggiata di Sabato – Port Melbourne/Kew
While the Beach Road ride still goes to Mordialloc, this ride will alternate between Port Melbourne and Kew
Boulevard.
Port Melbourne: Leaving from the Shop at 7am sharp, we head towards Port Melbourne. We′ll complete 3-4 laps of an 11km circuit. The course is flat and carries little traffic.
Kew Boulevard: On the first Saturday of each month, we will take the ride to Kew Boulevard. Leaving the shop at 7am, there are a number of different circuits we can complete. Again, little traffic, however this course will help to improve your hill climbing ability.
The objective of these rides is not to ride super fast, they will allow us to run through some drills with the emphasis on participation and improving your riding skills. Over the weeks to come we′ll focus on; riding in a bunch (single and double file), tricks of using cleated pedals, use of gears and I′m sure at some stage we′ll have some puncture repair practice. You′ll still end up with a 40-50km ride,
average speeds of 22-30kph. The bunch will return to Bridge Road around 9am, in time to sit and enjoy a well deserved coffee and breakfast at the Laikon Deli.
Saturday Morning – Beach Road

Tuesday Night – Port Melbourne
For those who are interested, meet at the carparks on Lorimer Street (Melway Map 42, Grid E11), at 7pm. Or, if you'd like to get an extra lap in prior, you can meet at the Shop at 5.45pm (ring to organise). The circuit loop follows the
same directions as per Passeggiata di Sabato, just faster. We usually complete 3-4 loops. Lights are required during winter. After the ride there are usually some heading for pizza at Roberto′s Pizzeria in Richmond, however please ring to organise.
